What is the Improvement Science Research Network?

The Improvement Science Research Network is the only National Institutes of Health–supported improvement research network. Our primary mission is to accelerate interprofessional improvement science in a systems context across multiple hospital sites.

 

ISRN Director Awarded Episteme Laureate Award

On October 29, 2011, Kathleen R. Stevens, EdD, RN, FAAN, received the Episteme Laureate award from the honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.

 

National Institute of Nursing Research Has Widened the Blue Highway of Translation Research

In this letter to the editor, Dr. Kathleen R. Stevens, Director of the Improvement Science Research Network (ISRN), responds to Woods and Magyary’s (2010) article documenting the barriers in quality improvement created by restricted pathways between research and utilization.
