What is the Improvement Science Research Network?

The Improvement Science Research Network is the only National Institutes of Health–supported improvement research network. Our primary mission is to accelerate interprofessional improvement science in a systems context across multiple sites.

Summer Institutes on Quality Improvement

Experience a full immersion in the latest advances in healthcare improvement and take home action plans developed during these highly interactive conferences. For 2013, the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing, the Academic Center for Evidence-Based Practice (ACE) and the Improvement Science Research Network (ISRN) combined the Summer Institute on Evidence-Based Practice and the Improvement Science Summit to form the new Summer Institutes on Quality Improvement: A Cluster of Interprofessional Conferences.

New Evidence-Based Guide

Building Successful Research Collaboratives for Healthcare Improvement is a newly published evidence-based guide on best practices for collaboration. Transdisciplinary collaboration is essential in improvement science as complex research questions go beyond the realm of a single investigator.
